Prof. Dr. Rui Pedro Paiva is a Professor Scientist at the Department of Informatics Engineering of the University of Coimbra (UC). He concluded his PhD, MSc and BSc (5 years) degrees, all in Informatics Engineering at UC, in 2007, 1999 and 1996, respectively. His main research interests are Data Mining, Music Information Retrieval and Medical Informatics. He has coordinated several research projects in the above fields and he published over 80 papers in international journals and conferences.
